Is it time to eat yet?

I'm starting to wonder about myself. My last few posts have been mostly about food.....when did I turn into such a foodie? My sis-n-law and I spent another fun day cooking. The theme for this party was Mexican!! We cooked the ENTIRE day again.(We fed 14 and cooked enough for 40) There was some serious cooking going on........

First up, homemade Taquitos. The steak filled deep fried kind (not for the faint of heart) Of course we made a large batch of Guacamole and some Corn salsa to eat with them.Then my Sis-in-law made these FABULOUS Jalapeno Poppers. These might have been my favorite of the day!!!

The Chicken Burritos? I couldn't finish a half of one! (of course I had been eating for the past 5.5 hours straight)

We also made Chorizo Queso Dip, Cilantro Lime Rice, Re-fried Beans, Beef Tortillas and Tacos. Not to mention all the Chips and Salsa.

And for the "Gran final"

Fried Ice Cream with Fresh Whipped Cream and some Honey.....

There was a lot of napping going on after dinner that night. I really don't think I ate for an entire day after! I love, love spending time with my family. The memories we are making are worth all of the work we put into the meals. I enjoy every minute of it and wish I had taken some more pictures....

I'm not sure why I always feel like I need to include my furry friends in my posts. They must be more of a part of my family than I thought!

The next cooking day is already in the works. I can't wait!

Happy Birthday!!

Our two oldest boys both celebrated birthdays this past week. We got to celebrate with some really good friends (there were a few furry freinds on the guest list too...) and what party is complete without tasty treats? A special thanks to Ebbie & Alphie for the cupcakes! YUM!!

Christmas time is here.......

Its been a fun, food filled holiday for us already! Lots of  family, fun, food.....did I mention all the food??

My wonderful sis-in-law and I spent the entire day cooking....seriously, it was the most fun I have had in a long time!






 I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas Season as much as I am!!!


 



Pretty in Pink.........

I watched this movie the other day. I love Molly Ringwald and who couldn't love Duckie? It might have inspired the color for this post. Besides its my opinion anything looks good in pink!

Its been a long, long time........

ITS TIME TO BLOG!! I am overdue and might be out of practice! Hahaha......

Its been a great summer with relaxing poolside, catching up on some great books (Ill save the books for a future post) and even a special wedding for my niece!

My sister in Law had a really cute pair of shoes on for the wedding....it is after all, all about the shoes, right?

Speaking of shoes, I am in love with these Louis Vuitton Ostrich and satin shoes!

(I can't take credit for that incredible picture ....this is one of the fall adds for Louis Vuitton. Love it!)

We really are in the "dog days" of summer right now and it has been blazing hot here! I took just a few pictures of my friend Theoden relaxing in the sun.........

We didn't last long outside before we headed in .......just too hot!


This guy was very busy on one of my plants....

Speaking of busy, I have a busy day ahead, I need to be done here for now :)

Blue Birds and Brooches.....

Wow has it been a while since my last post! Where does all of my time go? I was inspired today by a bluebird I saw when I was running. It was not the typical Blue Jay we normally see around here.... It was this bird, an Eastern Blue Bird (beautiful!)
